Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.30%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.30% to hit a new 6-months low, while the MDAX index fell 0.10%, and the TecDAX index declined 0.31%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 9.00% or 0.62 points to trade at 7.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) added 3.83% or 8.50 points to end at 230.30 and Continental AG O.N. (ETR:CONG) was up 1.79% or 1.06 points to 60.26 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Covestro AG (ETR:1COV), which fell 3.41% or 1.66 points to trade at 47.00 at the close. Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:MBGn) declined 2.82% or 1.63 points to end at 56.21 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:MTXGn) was down 2.75% or 4.95 points to 174.95.

The top performers on the MDAX were Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (ETR:FPE3_p) which rose 6.68% to 37.04, Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) which was up 4.00% to settle at 28.06 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which gained 2.89% to close at 23.67.

The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 4.89% to 15.97 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which lost 4.35% to settle at 10.10 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 3.34% to 27.18 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:COKG) which rose 4.31% to 23.22, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which was up 3.83% to settle at 230.30 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which gained 3.27% to close at 29.66.

The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 4.89% to 15.97 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which lost 4.35% to settle at 10.10 and Atoss Software AG (ETR:AOFG) which was down 4.08% to 200.00 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 355 to 278 and 101 ended unchanged.

Shares in Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:MBGn) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.82% or 1.63 to 56.21.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.44% to 19.88.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.31% or 6.25 to $1,991.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.78% or 0.65 to hit $83.86 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.85% or 0.75 to trade at $88.68 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 106.23.
