An environmental-protest group interrupted play at the Wimbledon tennis tournament on Wednesday — the latest disruption by climate-change protesters in the U.K.
Photos and videos on social media showed a group, called Just Stop Oil, throwing confetti and a jigsaw puzzle onto the court in a match between Grigor Dimitrov, the 21st seed, and Sho Shimabukuro.
The activist group took credit for the disruption on Twitter, and noted the Grand Slam event has been sponsored by Barclays
BARC,
which has helped to fund oil and gas companies including Exxon Mobil
XOM,
Shell

and TotalEnergies
TTE,
Two individuals were arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass and criminal damage, according to Wimbledon.
The same group last week disrupted the London Pride parade over its corporate sponsors.
The U.K. government this year passed legislation to give police greater powers against protesters after a string of protests by environmental campaigners, including locking themselves onto major roads.
After the delay, as well as a stoppage due to rain, Dmitrov won in three sets.
