Australia stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/ASX 200 up 0.63%

At the close in Sydney, the S&P/ASX 200 rose 0.63%.

The best performers of the session on the S&P/ASX 200 were Corporate Travel Managment Ltd (ASX:CTD), which rose 5.42% or 0.98 points to trade at 19.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Lynas Rare Earths Ltd (ASX:LYC) added 4.42% or 0.28 points to end at 6.62 and Seven Group Holdings Ltd (ASX:SVW) was up 3.68% or 0.85 points to 23.95 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nuix Ltd (ASX:NXL), which fell 15.47% or 0.21 points to trade at 1.12 at the close. Netwealth Group Ltd (ASX:NWL) declined 7.36% or 1.00 points to end at 12.53 and Ramelius Resources Ltd (ASX:RMS) was down 7.09% or 0.09 points to 1.18.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 704 to 591 and 402 ended unchanged.

The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, was down 3.23% to 12.63.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.51% or 10.05 to $1,976.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 5.34% or 4.04 to hit $79.71 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 5.28% or 4.22 to trade at $84.11 a barrel.

AUD/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 0.67, while AUD/JPY rose 0.64% to 89.34.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 102.41.
