France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.46%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.46%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.42%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM), which rose 3.24% or 0.54 points to trade at 17.07 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) added 2.25% or 0.64 points to end at 29.09 and Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:SGOB) was up 2.09% or 1.18 points to 57.51 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI), which fell 12.12% or 8.00 points to trade at 58.00 at the close. BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) declined 4.16% or 2.75 points to end at 63.40 and WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) was down 3.57% or 2.14 points to 57.80.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eramet SA (EPA:ERMT) which rose 5.80% to 107.70, Inter Parfums Inc. (EPA:IPAR) which was up 5.56% to settle at 66.50 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which gained 5.02% to close at 14.12.

The worst performers were Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN) which was down 13.91% to 29.41 in late trade, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) which lost 12.12% to settle at 58.00 and Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) which was down 4.98% to 7.35 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 282 to 264 and 91 ended unchanged.

Shares in Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.24% or 0.54 to 17.07. Shares in Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) fell to 52-week lows; falling 12.12% or 8.00 to 58.00. Shares in Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 13.91% or 4.75 to 29.41. Shares in Inter Parfums Inc. (EPA:IPAR) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.56% or 3.50 to 66.50. Shares in Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) fell to 52-week lows; falling 12.12% or 8.00 to 58.00.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.41% or 7.45 to $1,844.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.51% or 0.39 to hit $76.66 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.12 to trade at $83.33 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.84% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP rose 0.85% to 0.89.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 104.35.
