Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.04%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.04%, while the MDAX index added 0.06%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.38%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 2.68% or 0.41 points to trade at 15.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:FREG) added 2.19% or 0.54 points to end at 25.22 and Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) was up 1.50% or 0.43 points to 29.09 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG), which fell 2.27% or 1.18 points to trade at 50.84 at the close. Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:VOWG_p) declined 1.87% or 2.62 points to end at 137.14 and Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) was down 0.86% or 0.20 points to 23.16.

The top performers on the MDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which rose 8.07% to 47.14, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was up 3.67% to settle at 16.51 and Rational AG (ETR:RAAG) which gained 3.24% to close at 606.00.

The worst performers were LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) which was down 3.44% to 59.50 in late trade, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) which lost 2.81% to settle at 193.75 and K&S AG (ETR:SDFGn) which was down 1.57% to 20.64 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which rose 8.07% to 47.14, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was up 3.67% to settle at 16.51 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which gained 2.99% to close at 15.15.

The worst performers were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) which was down 2.27% to 50.84 in late trade, Suse SA (ETR:SUSEG) which lost 1.37% to settle at 18.73 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 1.19% to 12.01 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 351 to 301 and 106 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.45% to 20.41 a new 6-months low.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.25% or 4.35 to $1,744.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 4.34% or 3.51 to hit $77.44 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 4.10% or 3.62 to trade at $84.74 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.56% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP fell 0.64% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 106.36.
