Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.60%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.60% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 5.24% or 920.00 points to trade at 18,475.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 5.11% or 890.00 points to end at 18,320.00 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) was up 3.76% or 39.50 points to 1,089.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which fell 1.13% or 9.40 points to trade at 825.60 at the close. Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) declined 0.73% or 3.30 points to end at 450.60 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was down 0.04% or 1.00 points to 2,538.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 102 to 43 and 27 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 4.48% or 4.24 to $98.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 4.43% or 4.48 to hit $105.64 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 5.15 to trade at $1,708.75 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.75% to 7.32, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 107.06.
