The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR), which rose 3.88% or 3.75 points to trade at 100.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) added 3.02% or 32.50 points to end at 1,107.50 and Safran SA (EPA:SAF) was up 2.98% or 2.93 points to 101.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI), which fell 2.49% or 1.94 points to trade at 75.92 at the close. TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) declined 1.34% or 0.65 points to end at 48.27 and Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) was down 0.99% or 1.65 points to 164.55.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Electricite de France SA (EPA:EDF) which rose 5.96% to 10.22, Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which was up 3.98% to settle at 1.15 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) which gained 3.88% to close at 100.46.
The worst performers were Technip Energies BV (EPA:TE) which was down 6.22% to 11.23 in late trade, Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which lost 5.39% to settle at 15.84 and Valneva (EPA:VLS) which was down 4.03% to 10.01 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 277 to 263 and 96 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.22% or 3.85 to $1,727.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 7.89% or 8.21 to hit $95.88 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 7.03% or 7.53 to trade at $99.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.01, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 107.75.
