Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.29%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.29% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which rose 3.41% or 211 points to trade at 6400 at the close. Meanwhile, Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) added 3.36% or 134 points to end at 4117 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was up 3.28% or 75 points to 2361 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Energix (TASE:ENRG), which fell 2.30% or 28 points to trade at 1188 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) declined 2.01% or 6.9 points to end at 337.2 and Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) was down 0.36% or 50 points to 13980.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 283 to 166 and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) rose to all time highs; rising 3.41% or 211 to 6400.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.28% or 0.17 to $61.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $64.28 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 3.35 to trade at $1738.35 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.10% to 3.3006, while EUR/ILS rose 0.12% to 3.9392.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 91.812.
