France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 1.07%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 1.07%, while the SBF 120 index gained 1.13%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (PA:TEPRF), which rose 3.48% or 9.40 points to trade at 279.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Worldline SA (PA:WLN) added 2.88% or 2.02 points to end at 72.08 and EssilorLuxottica SA (PA:ESLX) was up 2.86% or 3.35 points to 120.35 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 5.09% or 3.54 points to trade at 65.96 at the close. Safran SA (PA:SAF) declined 1.34% or 1.40 points to end at 102.70 and Total SA (PA:TOTF) was down 1.02% or 0.35 points to 34.54.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Lagardere SCA (PA:LAGA) which rose 4.90% to 20.14, Getlink SE (PA:GETP) which was up 4.64% to settle at 13.31 and Metropole Television SA (PA:MMTP) which gained 4.14% to close at 14.60.

The worst performers were Klepierre SA (PA:LOIM) which was down 7.15% to 18.45 in late trade, Solutions 30 SE (PA:S30) which lost 6.33% to settle at 10.21 and WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) which was down 5.09% to 65.96 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 420 to 173 and 68 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.69% or 12.70 to $1863.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.90% or 0.47 to hit $52.67 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.95% or 0.52 to trade at $55.54 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.2085, while EUR/GBP rose 0.00% to 0.8848.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 90.907.
