Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.25%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.25%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which rose 4.41% or 15.4 points to trade at 364.9 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) added 4.11% or 19.2 points to end at 486.4 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was up 2.80% or 38.5 points to 1414.5 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH), which fell 2.04% or 11.6 points to trade at 557.4 at the close. DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) declined 1.77% or 17.6 points to end at 975.6 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was down 1.06% or 10.0 points to 931.4.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 83 to 54 and 14 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.07% or 0.56 to $52.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.03% or 1.11 to hit $55.86 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 5.30 to trade at $1835.20 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.43% to 6.1327, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4399.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 90.487.
