Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.25%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.25%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 7.40% or 103 points to trade at 1495 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) added 4.28% or 15.3 points to end at 372.7 and International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (TASE:IFF) was up 2.00% or 730 points to 37210 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which fell 4.91% or 950 points to trade at 18380 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) declined 3.90% or 1650 points to end at 40700 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) was down 2.72% or 550 points to 19650.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 206 to 188 and 32 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.41% or 0.64 to $44.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.88% or 0.42 to hit $47.46 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.75% or 31.25 to trade at $1812.15 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.50% to 3.2883, while EUR/ILS rose 0.46% to 3.9600.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 91.317.
