Jodie Foster has sold her Spanish-style home in the celebrity-heavy city of Calabasas, CA, for $2.65 million. The final sale price was just a touch under the asking price.
Back in May, the listing agent, David Kramer, told Mansion Global that “it’s hard to find such a large-scale living space in a single story.”
“Even though the market is challenging right now,” he said, “we priced the house well, and got a lot of activity.”
The agent added that the home went into contract only two days after listing, for $2.85 million.
The gorgeous single-story estate is located in the gated enclave of The Oaks of Calabasas and offers four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and 4,920 square feet of living space. Foster purchased the residence in 2005 for $2.26 million.
Entering the home, you’re greeted by an appealing outdoor courtyard, which sits at the property’s center. It has a fireplace and looks like a perfect spot for socializing on a balmy Southern California evening.
The great room features a grand fireplace and a dramatic, 25-foot-ceiling with dark wood beams. French doors lead out to the home’s gorgeous backyard, for the coveted indoor-outdoor flow.
A family room has built-in shelves as well as an entertainment alcove. There’s also a home office, plus a second-story bonus room that could be used as a study.

The chef’s kitchen offers splendid stone countertops, state-of-the-art stainless-steel appliances, and a large center island. The breakfast bar and informal dining area offer pleasing views of the sunny backyard.
A master bedroom boasts spacious walk-in closets, and the master bathroom has double vanities, plus a spa with a soaking tub.
Out back, there’s a lovely covered patio and lavish outdoor living area described as “perfect for al fresco dining.” Then you can cool off in the inviting pool.
Foster, 57, has starred in more than 50 films and has twice won an Academy Award, for her work in “The Accused” (1988) and in “The Silence of the Lambs” (1991). In recent years, she’s turned her focus to directing.
Both Foster and the buyer were represented by David Kramer with Hilton & Hyland.
