Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.88%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.88%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 1.48% or 140 points to trade at 9586 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) added 0.08% or 0.1 points to end at 98.3 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 0.11% or 1.0 points to 942.6 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 3.31% or 6.2 points to trade at 181.0 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN) declined 2.04% or 4.3 points to end at 206.0 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was down 2.03% or 18.0 points to 870.2.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 85 to 44 and 20 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.05% or 0.02 to $43.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.35% or 0.16 to hit $45.76 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.43% or 47.00 to trade at $1979.60 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.65% to 6.2543, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4420.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.71% at 92.330.
