Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.37%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.37% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 2.62% or 21.6 points to trade at 846.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) added 2.46% or 21.60 points to end at 900.60 and Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) was up 2.19% or 14 points to 634 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 2.36% or 5.6 points to trade at 231.5 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN) declined 1.83% or 4.3 points to end at 231.0 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) was down 1.57% or 6.2 points to 388.7.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 96 to 47 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.62% or 21.6 to 846.4. Shares in Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.46% or 21.60 to 900.60.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.15% or 0.88 to $41.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.13% or 0.92 to hit $44.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.50% or 27.25 to trade at $1844.65 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.78% to 6.4534, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4433.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 95.025.
