The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Worldline SA (PA:WLN), which rose 4.40% or 3.04 points to trade at 72.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Safran SA (PA:SAF) added 3.02% or 2.86 points to end at 97.50 and Sanofi SA (PA:SASY) was up 2.90% or 2.64 points to 93.71 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (PA:RENA), which fell 3.71% or 0.84 points to trade at 21.95 at the close. Accor SA (PA:ACCP) declined 1.94% or 0.51 points to end at 25.74 and Publicis Groupe SA (PA:PUBP) was down 1.36% or 0.41 points to 29.65.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Genfit (PA:GNFT) which rose 6.77% to 5.68, Ingenico Group SA (PA:INGC) which was up 4.53% to settle at 136.10 and Worldline SA (PA:WLN) which gained 4.40% to close at 72.06.
The worst performers were TechnipFMC PLC (PA:FTI) which was down 5.27% to 7.22 in late trade, CGG SA (PA:GEPH) which lost 4.78% to settle at 1.086 and Valeo SA (PA:VLOF) which was down 4.65% to 22.98 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 311 to 278 and 79 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 2.64% to 33.22.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.12% or 2.00 to $1734.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.50% or 0.19 to hit $38.19 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.24% or 0.10 to trade at $40.86 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.1231, while EUR/GBP rose 0.04% to 0.8955.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.172.
