Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.68%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.68%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which rose 7.39% or 20.9 points to trade at 303.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) added 5.69% or 26 points to end at 490 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was up 4.77% or 3.5 points to 76.9 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 1.27% or 8.60 points to trade at 666.40 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) declined 0.81% or 1.4 points to end at 165.2 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 1.06% or 4.3 points to 409.1.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 131 to 16 and 8 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.44% or 0.29 to $20.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.08% or 0.02 to hit $26.44 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.64% or 26.90 to trade at $1616.30 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.36% to 6.7829, while EUR/DKK fell 0.05% to 7.4635.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 99.295.
