Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 3.40%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 3.40% to hit a new 52-week low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were ISS A/S (CSE:ISS), which rose 7.11% or 5.62 points to trade at 84.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 1.29% or 2.1 points to end at 165.1 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) was up 0.24% or 0.7 points to 295.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 9.28% or 7.0 points to trade at 68.0 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 7.77% or 40.3 points to end at 478.5 and Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN) was down 7.69% or 15.6 points to 187.3.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 119 to 20 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) fell to 5-year lows; losing 9.28% or 7.0 to 68.0. Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) fell to 52-week lows; down 7.77% or 40.3 to 478.5.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.31% or 0.07 to $22.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.82% or 0.49 to hit $26.49 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 5.54% or 82.25 to trade at $1566.85 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.70% to 6.9325, while EUR/DKK rose 0.07% to 7.4700.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 102.915.
