Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 0.15%, while the index gained 0.38%, and the index gained 0.10%.

The best performers of the session on the were Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (DE:), which rose 1.58% or 0.755 points to trade at 48.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Wirecard AG (DE:) added 0.86% or 1.200 points to end at 139.950 and Vonovia SE (DE:) was up 0.84% or 0.44 points to 52.86 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Continental AG O.N. (DE:), which fell 1.63% or 1.72 points to trade at 104.04 at the close. Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:) declined 1.36% or 0.200 points to end at 14.490 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (DE:) was down 1.36% or 0.880 points to 63.810.

The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (DE:) which rose 3.25% to 75.00, Gerresheimer AG (DE:) which was up 2.85% to settle at 74.000 and Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.00% to close at 26.500.

The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:) which was down 4.79% to 109.400 in late trade, Rational AG (DE:) which lost 3.31% to settle at 656.50 and Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:) which was down 1.92% to 2.548 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were RIB Software AG Na (DE:) which rose 3.30% to 19.110, Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.00% to settle at 26.500 and Qiagen NV (DE:) which gained 1.99% to close at 32.820.

The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:) which was down 4.79% to 109.400 in late trade, Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:) which lost 1.92% to settle at 2.548 and Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 1.39% to 113.300 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 339 to 330 and 80 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vonovia SE (DE:) rose to all time highs; up 0.84% or 0.44 to 52.86. Shares in Gerresheimer AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.85% or 2.050 to 74.000.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 3.04% to 14.90.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.35% or 5.50 to $1578.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.53% or 0.77 to hit $49.55 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 2.28% or 1.24 to trade at $53.23 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.0915, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.8452.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 98.735.
