The best performers of the session on the were Saudi vitrified clay pipes co. (SE:), which rose 5.60% or 3.00 points to trade at 56.60 at the close. Meanwhile, The National Shipping Co. (SE:) added 4.10% or 1.45 points to end at 36.80 and National Gypsum Company (SE:) was up 4.00% or 0.66 points to 17.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:), which fell 8.87% or 2.02 points to trade at 20.76 at the close. Anb Insurance (SE:) declined 5.21% or 0.96 points to end at 17.48 and Yamamah Saudi Cement Co. (SE:) was down 3.75% or 1.10 points to 28.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 118 to 69 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi vitrified clay pipes co. (SE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.60% or 3.00 to 56.60.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.17% or 0.09 to $53.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.22% or 0.13 to hit $58.45 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.55 to trade at $1575.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.10% to 4.1288, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7517.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 97.900.
