Pets at Home Group PLC said Wednesday that it had a record-breaking Christmas with like-for-like revenue growth of 7.2% over the 12-week period.
The company PETS, +2.36% generated revenue of 255.9 million pounds ($333.5 million) over the 12 weeks ended Jan. 2, a rise of 7.9% compared with the 12 weeks ended Jan. 3, 2019.
Pets at Home added that expectations for underlying pretax profit for fiscal 2020, before the impact of IFRS 16, are in line with market consensus at GBP93 million, compared with GBP89.7 million a year prior.
“Against a backdrop of unprecedented consumer volatility, our continued momentum leaves us very much on track with our plans for the year,” said Chief Executive Peter Pritchard.
