At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.05% to hit a new 52-week high, while the index fell 0.15%, and the index fell 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the were Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (DE:), which rose 1.81% or 0.875 points to trade at 49.345 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Boerse AG (DE:) added 1.36% or 2.000 points to end at 148.600 and Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (DE:) was up 1.25% or 0.860 points to 69.720 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:), which fell 3.38% or 0.505 points to trade at 14.440 at the close. Continental AG O.N. (DE:) declined 1.78% or 2.02 points to end at 111.22 and Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (DE:) was down 1.02% or 0.350 points to 33.915.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:) which rose 6.80% to 46.660, Cancom SE O.N. (DE:) which was up 3.24% to settle at 54.150 and Zalando SE (DE:) which gained 1.45% to close at 46.93.
The worst performers were Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (DE:) which was down 3.84% to 42.080 in late trade, Siltronic AG (DE:) which lost 3.49% to settle at 89.000 and Kion Group AG (DE:) which was down 3.14% to 60.40 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Cancom SE O.N. (DE:) which rose 3.24% to 54.150, RIB Software AG Na (DE:) which was up 2.15% to settle at 19.930 and S&T AG (DE:) which gained 1.38% to close at 22.10.
The worst performers were Siltronic AG (DE:) which was down 3.49% to 89.000 in late trade, Varta AG (DE:) which lost 1.95% to settle at 90.500 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:) which was down 1.48% to 119.600 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 401 to 267 and 83 ended unchanged.
Shares in Deutsche Boerse AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.36% or 2.000 to 148.600.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 3.84% to 12.99.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.32% or 4.95 to $1555.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.29% or 0.17 to hit $58.75 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.35% or 0.23 to trade at $64.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1091, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.8498.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.335.
