The worst performers of the session were Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd. (T:), which fell 3.29% or 120.0 points to trade at 3525.0 at the close. IHI Corp. (T:) declined 3.09% or 87.0 points to end at 2732.0 and CyberAgent Inc (T:) was down 3.08% or 120.0 points to 3770.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2173 to 1389 and 227 ended unchanged.
