The best performers of the session on the were Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:), which rose 9.92% or 7.20 points to trade at 79.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Lazurde for Jewelry Co (SE:) added 9.66% or 1.54 points to end at 17.48 and Umm Al-Qura (SE:) was up 8.63% or 1.82 points to 22.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anb Insurance (SE:), which fell 5.13% or 1.08 points to trade at 19.98 at the close. Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:) declined 2.12% or 0.38 points to end at 17.58 and Basic Chemical Industries Co (SE:) was down 2.03% or 0.50 points to 24.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 155 to 37 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Umm Al-Qura (SE:) rose to 52-week highs; up 8.63% or 1.82 to 22.90.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.03% or 0.02 to $61.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $66.87 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.25 to trade at $1515.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.74% to 4.1941, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7528.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 96.632.
