The top performers on the MDAX were Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (DE:) which rose 9.42% to 21.600, Siltronic AG (DE:) which was up 3.73% to settle at 92.300 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.60% to close at 63.100.
The worst performers were Leoni AG (DE:) which was down 2.76% to 10.040 in late trade, Software AG (DE:) which lost 2.34% to settle at 31.250 and Lanxess AG (DE:) which was down 1.58% to 59.840 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Siltronic AG (DE:) which rose 3.73% to 92.300, CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.60% to settle at 63.100 and Medigene NA O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.34% to close at 4.200.
The worst performers were Software AG (DE:) which was down 2.34% to 31.250 in late trade, Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:) which lost 1.31% to settle at 2.629 and Wirecard AG (DE:) which was down 1.18% to 105.000 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 361 to 317 and 71 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.30% to 13.09.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.38% or 5.55 to $1484.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.48% or 0.29 to hit $61.14 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.31 to trade at $66.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1129, while EUR/GBP rose 0.55% to 0.8542.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 96.907.
