The worst performers of the session were Trend Micro Inc. (T:), which fell 2.02% or 120.0 points to trade at 5830.0 at the close. Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. (T:) declined 1.96% or 10.0 points to end at 499.0 and Nippon Suisan Kaisha, Ltd. (T:) was down 1.90% or 12.0 points to 620.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2200 to 1318 and 255 ended unchanged.
