At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.19%, while the index fell 0.49%, and the index added 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 3.59% or 8.60 points to trade at 248.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Wirecard AG (DE:) added 1.85% or 2.150 points to end at 118.300 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (DE:) was up 1.40% or 0.680 points to 49.320 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:), which fell 2.09% or 0.135 points to trade at 6.331 at the close. Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:) declined 1.71% or 0.290 points to end at 16.715 and E.ON SE NA (DE:) was down 1.42% or 0.132 points to 9.179.
The top performers on the MDAX were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:) which rose 3.59% to 248.00, Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which was up 3.29% to settle at 19.780 and Zalando SE (DE:) which gained 2.91% to close at 40.38.
The worst performers were RTL Group SA (DE:) which was down 5.28% to 40.900 in late trade, Airbus Group SE (DE:) which lost 4.43% to settle at 124.14 and Metro Wholesale & Food Specialist AG (DE:) which was down 3.16% to 14.0750 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which rose 3.29% to 19.780, RIB Software AG Na (DE:) which was up 1.92% to settle at 24.440 and Wirecard AG (DE:) which gained 1.85% to close at 118.300.
The worst performers were Drillisch AG (DE:) which was down 2.82% to 22.760 in late trade, S&T AG (DE:) which lost 2.79% to settle at 19.48 and New Work SE (DE:) which was down 2.02% to 290.50 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 453 to 225 and 76 ended unchanged.
Shares in RIB Software AG Na (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.92% or 0.460 to 24.440.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 4.29% to 17.76 a new 1-month high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.01% or 14.85 to $1484.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.54% or 0.30 to hit $56.26 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.28% or 0.17 to trade at $61.09 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.1088, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8525.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 97.620.
