U.S. Steel Falls After Mill Shutdown Due to Flooding

Investing.com – U.S. Steel (NYSE:) slumped in midday trade on holiday-thinned volume Friday after reports that it was shutting down a furnace due to flooding.

The Gary, Indiana mill was shut down due to a water pipe breaking on Thursday, according to various reports.

Shares of the company slumped nearly 10% on the news.
