The worst performers of the session were Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (DE:), which fell 1.50% or 1.120 points to trade at 73.620 at the close. Bayer AG NA (DE:) declined 1.09% or 0.76 points to end at 68.94 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) was down 1.02% or 0.200 points to 19.450.
The top performers on the MDAX were Scout24 AG (DE:) which rose 2.29% to 55.950, Aareal Bank AG (DE:) which was up 1.50% to settle at 28.340 and Software AG (DE:) which gained 1.44% to close at 31.070.
The worst performers were Aurubis AG (DE:) which was down 2.36% to 43.810 in late trade, Duerr AG (DE:) which lost 2.06% to settle at 28.000 and Drillisch AG (DE:) which was down 1.40% to 24.000 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SLM Solutions Group AG (DE:) which rose 2.30% to 16.02, Aixtron SE NA O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.21% to settle at 8.6000 and Software AG (DE:) which gained 1.44% to close at 31.070.
The worst performers were Isra Vision O.N. (DE:) which was down 5.56% to 38.70 in late trade, New Work SE (DE:) which lost 1.81% to settle at 299.00 and Draegerwerk VZO O.N. (DE:) which was down 1.68% to 55.450 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 373 to 307 and 74 ended unchanged.
Shares in Muench. Rueckvers. VNA O.N. (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.70% or 1.80 to 260.40. Shares in Scout24 AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.29% or 1.250 to 55.950.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.09% or 1.30 to $1462.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.15% or 0.09 to hit $58.20 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.51% or 0.32 to trade at $63.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.1009, while EUR/GBP rose 0.21% to 0.8528.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 98.295.
