At the close in Paris, the fell 0.05%, while the index lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the were Hermes International SCA (PA:), which rose 1.62% or 10.80 points to trade at 676.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (PA:) added 1.24% or 0.46 points to end at 37.55 and Engie SA (PA:) was up 0.84% or 0.12 points to 14.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Capgemini SE (PA:), which fell 1.91% or 2.10 points to trade at 107.90 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) declined 1.51% or 0.240 points to end at 15.672 and TechnipFMC PLC (PA:) was down 1.33% or 0.23 points to 17.43.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Ipsos (PA:) which rose 4.49% to 27.90, Elior Group (PA:) which was up 4.24% to settle at 11.80 and Compagnie Plastic Omnium SA (PA:) which gained 2.60% to close at 25.64.
The worst performers were Klepierre SA (PA:) which was down 2.69% to 32.16 in late trade, Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (PA:) which lost 2.29% to settle at 41.82 and Eramet SA (PA:) which was down 2.19% to 41.50 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 289 to 275 and 104 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hermes International SCA (PA:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.62% or 10.80 to 676.20. Shares in Ipsos (PA:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.49% or 1.20 to 27.90.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 1.64% to 11.66.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.32% or 4.75 to $1462.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.18% or 0.69 to hit $57.72 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.87% or 0.55 to trade at $62.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1000, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8538.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 98.335.
