The worst performers of the session were Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (NS:), which fell 2.09% or 6.15 points to trade at 285.85 at the close. Yes Bank Ltd (NS:) declined 2.58% or 1.70 points to end at 64.15 and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (NS:) was down 2.21% or 12.70 points to 560.65.
The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Bharti Airtel Ltd (BO:) which rose 7.36% to 439.25, Reliance Industries Ltd (BO:) which was up 3.52% to settle at 1509.80 and AXIS Bank Ltd. (BO:) which gained 3.43% to close at 747.85.
The worst performers were Yes Bank Ltd (BO:) which was down 2.66% to 64.15 in late trade, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (BO:) which lost 2.19% to settle at 560.60 and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (BO:) which was down 2.02% to 2108.30 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the India National Stock Exchange by 851 to 709 and 71 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1331 fell and 1102 advanced, while 169 ended unchanged.
