Dow Jones Newswires: Siemens Healthineers reports higher profit and revenue

Siemens Healthineers AG on Monday reported a rise in net profit and revenue, in what it called a “traditionally strong” fourth quarter of the year.

The German medical-equipment maker SHL, +0.28%  said net profit rose to 507 million euros ($566 million) from EUR374 million the period a year-earlier.

Revenue increased 12% to EUR4.14 billion compared with EUR3.70 billion the fourth quarter last year.

Analysts expected fourth-quarter net profit on of EUR483 million revenue of EUR3.97 billion, according to a consensus provided by Vara Research.

The company set a guidance for its 2020 fiscal year. It expects revenue growth of 5-6% compared with the fiscal year 2019 and adjusted earnings per share 6-12% above this year’s EUR1.70, it said.

For its financial years 2021 and 2022, Siemens Healthineers expects revenue growth of more than 5% each year, it said.
