At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.17% to hit a new 52-week high, while the index fell 0.22%, and the index fell 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 1.97% or 0.340 points to trade at 17.582 at the close. Meanwhile, Continental AG O.N. (DE:) added 1.72% or 2.10 points to end at 124.14 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) was up 1.66% or 0.117 points to 7.178 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:), which fell 1.92% or 0.540 points to trade at 27.540 at the close. MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:) declined 1.77% or 4.20 points to end at 233.50 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (DE:) was down 1.52% or 1.42 points to 92.30.
The top performers on the MDAX were Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:) which rose 5.19% to 2.897, Leoni AG (DE:) which was up 3.11% to settle at 11.765 and GEA Group AG (DE:) which gained 2.37% to close at 27.690.
The worst performers were Drillisch AG (DE:) which was down 24.03% to 23.900 in late trade, United Internet AG NA (DE:) which lost 19.71% to settle at 28.930 and Rocket Internet (DE:) which was down 2.22% to 23.82 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:) which rose 5.19% to 2.897, New Work SE (DE:) which was up 4.09% to settle at 280.00 and Jenoptik AG (DE:) which gained 3.74% to close at 26.100.
The worst performers were Drillisch AG (DE:) which was down 24.03% to 23.900 in late trade, United Internet AG NA (DE:) which lost 19.71% to settle at 28.930 and SLM Solutions Group AG (DE:) which was down 2.32% to 14.32 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 359 to 308 and 87 ended unchanged.
Shares in GEA Group AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.37% or 0.640 to 27.690.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.29% to 13.65 a new 3-months low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.02% or 0.25 to $1504.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.37% or 0.21 to hit $56.44 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $61.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1077, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8641.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.653.
