The worst performers of the session were Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. (T:), which fell 4.18% or 150.0 points to trade at 3435.0 at the close. Central Japan Railway Co. (T:) declined 2.60% or 605.0 points to end at 22705.0 and Keio Corp. (T:) was down 2.59% or 180.0 points to 6770.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2139 to 1348 and 247 ended unchanged.
