Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Paris, the added 0.61%, while the index climbed 0.58%.

The best performers of the session on the were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which rose 2.89% or 0.342 points to trade at 12.182 at the close. Meanwhile, Legrand SA (PA:) added 1.70% or 1.12 points to end at 66.98 and TechnipFMC PLC (PA:) was up 1.44% or 0.30 points to 21.16 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Air Liquide SA (PA:), which fell 7.87% or 10.00 points to trade at 117.00 at the close. Publicis Groupe SA (PA:) declined 2.25% or 0.98 points to end at 42.56 and Carrefour SA (PA:) was down 0.66% or 0.10 points to 15.15.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Virbac SA (PA:) which rose 5.75% to 211.50, Air France KLM SA (PA:) which was up 4.91% to settle at 10.050 and Aperam SA (AS:) which gained 3.19% to close at 21.00.

The worst performers were Air Liquide SA (PA:) which was down 7.87% to 117.00 in late trade, Ubisoft Entertainment (PA:) which lost 5.52% to settle at 59.260 and Genfit (PA:) which was down 5.35% to 12.740 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 295 to 255 and 106 ended unchanged.

Shares in Legrand SA (PA:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.70% or 1.12 to 66.98. Shares in Ubisoft Entertainment (PA:) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.52% or 3.460 to 59.260. Shares in Genfit (PA:) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.35% or 0.720 to 12.740.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 1.50% to 17.70.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.50% or 7.55 to $1505.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.40% or 0.74 to hit $53.55 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.22% or 0.71 to trade at $59.08 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.0983, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8918.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 98.572.
