U.S. stock index futures were moving higher ahead of Friday’s shortened session, though trading volumes were expected to be low as many investors may stretch the Thanksgiving Day holiday on Thursday into the weekend.

How are stock-index futures trading?

On Wednesday, the Dow industrials DJIA added 184.74 points or 0.5% to finish at 35,273.03, the highest level since August 14. The S&P 500 SPX rose 0.4% to 4556.62, its highest since Aug.1, while the Nasdaq Composite COMP advanced 0.5% to end at 14,265.86
