Dow futures trade higher, Nike gains 8% after earnings

By 7:00pm ET (11:00pm GMT) Dow Jones Futures and Nasdaq 100 Futures were up by 0.2% while S&P 500 Futures added 0.1%.

In extended deals, Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE) lifted 8% after the company reported EPS of $0.94 versus $0.75 expected on revenues of $12.94 billion versus $13.02 billion expected.

Vail Resorts Inc (NYSE:MTN) was 0.3% lower after reporting losses of $3.35 per share versus expected losses of $3.32 per share, while revenues came in at $269.77 million versus $282.92 million expected.

Ahead in Friday’s trade, market participants will be monitoring PCE price index data, goods trade balance, personal income and spending, wholesale inventories, Michigan consumer sentiment and expectations as well as a speech from FOMC member Williams.

During Thursday’s regular session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 116.1 points or 0.4% to 33,666.4, the S&P 500 lifted 25.2 points or 0.6% to 4,299.7 and the NASDAQ Composite gained 108.4 points or 0.8% to 13,201.3.3.

On the data front, pending home sales and jobless claims came in below expectations while Q2 GDP data came in at 2.1%, in-line with estimates and unchanged from the previous quarter.

On the bond markets, United States 10-Year yields eased from recent 16-year highs to 4.579%.
