Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.39%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.39%, while the MDAX index fell 0.13%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.09%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn), which rose 2.85% or 0.28 points to trade at 10.12 at the close. Meanwhile, MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:MTXGn) added 2.67% or 4.55 points to end at 174.70 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) was up 1.90% or 6.20 points to 333.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bayer AG NA (ETR:BAYGN), which fell 4.63% or 2.35 points to trade at 48.33 at the close. Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) declined 1.91% or 3.34 points to end at 171.10 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) was down 1.45% or 0.66 points to 44.75.

The top performers on the MDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which rose 5.18% to 11.38, HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which was up 3.59% to settle at 33.16 and Encavis AG (ETR:ECVG) which gained 2.29% to close at 13.63.

The worst performers were Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) which was down 3.28% to 30.12 in late trade, Knorr-Bremse AG (ETR:KBX) which lost 2.68% to settle at 58.00 and Duerr AG (ETR:DUEG) which was down 2.50% to 25.72 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which rose 5.18% to 11.38, Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which was up 2.51% to settle at 73.40 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which gained 1.92% to close at 21.80.

The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was down 1.58% to 65.30 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which lost 1.58% to settle at 84.64 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) which was down 1.45% to 44.75 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 379 to 255 and 104 ended unchanged.

Shares in Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) fell to 3-years lows; down 3.28% or 1.02 to 30.12. Shares in HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.59% or 1.15 to 33.16.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.10% to 15.57.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.15% or 2.85 to $1,932.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.35% or 0.31 to hit $88.53 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.24% or 0.22 to trade at $91.84 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 104.27.
