France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.06%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.06%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.72%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Thales (EPA:TCFP), which rose 1.19% or 1.60 points to trade at 136.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Safran SA (EPA:SAF) added 1.07% or 1.56 points to end at 147.82 and Vinci SA (EPA:SGEF) was up 0.76% or 0.78 points to 102.76 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 2.37% or 3.05 points to trade at 125.55 at the close. Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) declined 1.05% or 0.28 points to end at 26.44 and Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) was down 0.98% or 0.33 points to 33.47.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Technip Energies BV (EPA:TE) which rose 4.59% to 21.18, CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which was up 2.49% to settle at 0.69 and Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which gained 2.11% to close at 11.87.

The worst performers were ALD SA (EPA:ALDA) which was down 4.57% to 8.66 in late trade, Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:CASP) which lost 4.37% to settle at 2.41 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which was down 2.37% to 125.55 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 267 to 251 and 102 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.36% or 7.05 to $1,969.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.76% or 0.63 to hit $82.19 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.70% or 0.60 to trade at $85.64 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.32% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.91.
