Saudi Arabia stocks lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 0.49%

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.49%.

The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (TADAWUL:2320), which rose 4.98% or 1.50 points to trade at 31.60 at the close. Meanwhile, The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8030) added 4.72% or 0.62 points to end at 13.76 and Walaa Cooperative Insurance Company SJSC (TADAWUL:8060) was up 3.27% or 0.58 points to 18.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Saudi Automotive Services Co. (TADAWUL:4050), which fell 7.09% or 4.50 points to trade at 59.00 at the close. Al Hokair Group (TADAWUL:1820) declined 5.00% or 0.12 points to end at 2.28 and First Milling Company SJSC (TADAWUL:2283) was down 3.19% or 3.10 points to 94.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 141 to 116 and 24 ended unchanged.

Shares in AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (TADAWUL:2320) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.98% or 1.50 to 31.60. Shares in The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8030) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.72% or 0.62 to 13.76.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.50% or 1.18 to $79.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.07% or 0.88 to hit $83.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.24% or 24.40 to trade at $1,945.70 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.76% to 4.13, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.02% to 3.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.79% at 101.43.
