Trading of the company’s shares had been halted since April 2022, following the company’s entanglement in a debt crisis the previous year. Evergrande recently reported belated financial results on Wednesday, disclosing a cumulative net loss of 71.12 billion yuan ($9.91 billion) for the years 2021 and 2022.

As part of the group’s reorganization, the electric vehicle manufacturer announced in April that it would delegate its underperforming real estate segment to its parent entity. If the real estate division is discounted, the automaker’s net loss for 2022 amounted to 14.8 billion yuan, on revenue of about 130 million yuan.

In a prior announcement, Evergrande stated that it had delivered over 1,000 units of its electric vehicle since May, with sales having commenced in October of the preceding year.

“In the future, the Group will make every effort to ensure the continuous and stable production and delivery of Hengchi 5, and launch other competitive new models one after another in line with market demand,” the company said.
