The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR), which rose 2.92% or 0.51 points to trade at 17.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) added 2.71% or 0.45 points to end at 17.23 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) was up 1.61% or 1.14 points to 72.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH), which fell 5.15% or 44.00 points to trade at 810.00 at the close. Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) declined 2.46% or 1.44 points to end at 57.20 and EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:ESLX) was down 2.41% or 4.28 points to 173.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Verallia (EPA:VRLA) which rose 7.33% to 37.76, Virbac SA (EPA:VIRB) which was up 5.19% to settle at 283.50 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which gained 5.14% to close at 3.23.
The worst performers were Ipsos (EPA:ISOS) which was down 7.32% to 45.10 in late trade, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) which lost 5.15% to settle at 810.00 and Carmila SA (EPA:CARM) which was down 4.76% to 14.82 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 278 to 229 and 118 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.38% or 7.55 to $1,971.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.48% or 0.38 to hit $79.25 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.37% or 0.31 to trade at $82.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 100.95.
