Juul seeks U.S. authorization for new e-cigarette product

The e-cigarette maker has been in a tussle with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to get its products approved after a brief ban on their sale last year following thousands of lawsuits that accused Juul of fueling a teen vaping epidemic.

The company’s latest application to the FDA, which was submitted on Tuesday, seeks to sell tobacco-flavored pods at a nicotine concentration of 18 mg per mL.
