Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 2.26%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 2.26% to hit a new 6-months high.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which rose 6.44% or 6,400.00 points to trade at 105,800.00 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 6.30% or 135.00 points to end at 2,277.00 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was up 4.22% or 550.00 points to 13,590.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 1.01% or 30.00 points to trade at 2,934.00 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) declined 0.61% or 3.00 points to end at 490.00 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 34,760.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 342 to 126 and 29 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.04% or 1.51 to $75.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.69% or 1.33 to hit $79.83 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.47% or 28.85 to trade at $1,985.25 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.97% to 3.59, while EUR/ILS fell 1.11% to 4.03.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 99.64.
