Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.20%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX fell 0.20%, while the MDAX index climbed 0.14%, and the TecDAX index lost 0.39%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn), which rose 3.04% or 1.08 points to trade at 36.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) added 2.16% or 0.21 points to end at 9.82 and Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) was up 1.29% or 0.38 points to 29.95 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn), which fell 3.52% or 7.05 points to trade at 193.45 at the close. Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G) declined 3.05% or 3.06 points to end at 97.24 and Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) was down 2.67% or 0.68 points to 24.83.

The top performers on the MDAX were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which rose 4.40% to 8.84, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:BOSSn) which was up 3.88% to settle at 68.02 and K&S AG (ETR:SDFGn) which gained 3.38% to close at 15.60.

The worst performers were Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:WCHG) which was down 3.78% to 122.30 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which lost 3.22% to settle at 13.96 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which was down 3.18% to 83.75 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which rose 4.48% to 27.98, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was up 4.40% to settle at 8.84 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:VBKG) which gained 3.62% to close at 38.95.

The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 3.22% to 13.96 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which lost 3.18% to settle at 83.75 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 2.87% to 27.72 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 336 to 317 and 95 ended unchanged.

Shares in Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.48% or 1.20 to 27.98.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.10% to 15.22 a new 3-years low.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.22% or 24.15 to $1,957.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.45% or 1.04 to hit $72.78 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.18% or 0.90 to trade at $77.19 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 104.12.
