The report states that the move is part of various new features in Apple’s iOS 17 software update.

The reported view will appear when iPhones are locked and positioned horizontally, operating like the dedicated displays offered by Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN), according to Bloomberg sources, with Apple aiming to make iPhones more useful when they’re not in full use.

In addition, Bloomberg said it is part of a more extensive move to embed live information in more parts of the company’s software.

It is reported that Apple will reveal the software alongside its mixed-reality headset at the much-anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference on June 5.
