Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.53%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.53% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 6.03% or 11.65 points to trade at 204.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) added 3.49% or 22.00 points to end at 652.80 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was up 2.73% or 3.00 points to 113.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which fell 1.31% or 3.70 points to trade at 279.30 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) declined 0.34% or 3.20 points to end at 929.40 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was down 0.27% or 0.50 points to 181.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 73 and 16 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.69% or 0.49 to $70.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.72% or 0.54 to hit $74.44 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 4.45 to trade at $2,016.05 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.51% to 6.86, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 102.39.
