It’s going to be a busy month for HBO Max, including the series finales of “Succession” and “Barry,” and the complete rebranding of the service as much of Discovery’s library is absorbed into Max, which will drop the “HBO” from its name.
That seismic change will happen May 23. Long story short, current HBO Max subscribers won’t need to do anything or pay more (at least for a while), and will soon have access to most Discovery+ shows — so HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Discovery, etc. — while Discovery+ will remain a standalone service…
