Spain’s economy grew more than expected in the first quarter, a sign of resilience at the beginning of the year as inflation eased and despite rapidly rising interest rates.
The Spanish gross domestic product expanded 0.5% from January to March compared with the previous quarter, accelerating slightly from the 0.4% growth rate registered in 2022’s fourth quarter, preliminary data from the country’s statistics office INE showed Friday.
