At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 0.54%, while the MDAX index declined 0.02%, and the TecDAX index gained 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were SAP SE (ETR:SAPG), which rose 5.24% or 6.06 points to trade at 121.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Merck KGaA (ETR:MRCG) added 3.75% or 6.00 points to end at 166.00 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:FREG) was up 1.98% or 0.50 points to 25.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:BASFN), which fell 1.99% or 1.01 points to trade at 49.60 at the close. Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) declined 1.54% or 0.47 points to end at 30.00 and Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) was down 1.49% or 1.92 points to 127.34.
The top performers on the MDAX were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG) which rose 3.77% to 41.59, HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which was up 3.56% to settle at 25.58 and Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which gained 3.07% to close at 7.59.
The worst performers were Kion Group AG (ETR:KGX) which was down 3.89% to 36.29 in late trade, Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:JUNG_p) which lost 2.33% to settle at 30.24 and Stabilus (ETR:STM1) which was down 2.20% to 62.25 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) which rose 5.24% to 121.66, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which was up 3.71% to settle at 18.99 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which gained 2.63% to close at 49.88.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was down 1.54% to 8.57 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which lost 1.34% to settle at 28.01 and Vantage Towers AG (ETR:VTWRn) which was down 0.49% to 32.50 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 325 to 321 and 104 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.29% or 25.95 to $1,993.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.56% or 0.43 to hit $77.80 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.67% or 0.54 to trade at $81.64 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 101.43.
