Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.91%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 1.91%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Bavarian Nordic (CSE:BAVA), which rose 1.86% or 3.50 points to trade at 191.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) added 1.57% or 17.00 points to end at 1,102.00 and Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) was up 1.41% or 8.80 points to 632.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which fell 3.93% or 535.00 points to trade at 13,095.00 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 3.90% or 520.00 points to end at 12,820.00 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was down 2.98% or 8.70 points to 283.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 76 to 72 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.57% or 17.00 to 1,102.00.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.43% or 1.16 to $79.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.30% or 1.10 to hit $83.67 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.71% or 14.25 to trade at $2,005.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.17% to 6.80, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.04% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 101.62.
